Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery Wins Southwest Region Safety Award for 2014

Willow Beach NFH won the quarterly Safety Award (January 2014 - March 2014) and that put them in the running for the Annual Safety Award, competing against the other quarterly winners and field stations. The competition was stiff, but Willow Beach NFH edged out the other competitors with its leadership and assurance that all employees take safety seriously at their station. Leaders and staff participated in Safety Awareness Training held in Parker AZ in 2014. Project Leader Mark Olson and Assistant Project Leader Tom Frew are dedicated to providing safety programs and ensuring that all staff are properly trained. Tom Frew is also the Station's Collateral Duty Safety Officer, and in addition to keeping his own station safe, hehas completed Safety Assessments at other stations. Willow Beach NFH's safety plans are current and correctly implemented and their Safety Assessment results show continued dedication and attention to safety.

The Southwest Region is proud to celebrate Willow Beach NFH as the winner of the 2014 Excellence in Safety award winner.
