The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) published a notice in the October 10, 2007 Federal Register announcing that Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) has applied to the Service for a 20-year enhancement of survival permit for the fisher (Martes pennanti) under section 10(a) (1) (a) of the endangered species act. The Service is requesting comments on the permit application, the proposed Agreement and the preliminary determination that the proposed Agreement is eligible for a categorical exclusion under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as described in the Environmental Action Statement (EAS)
Comments will be accepted until November 9, 2007.
