Friends of Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge will host Reflections of Nature, " an art exhibit featuring 34-framed photographs from r enowned wildlife photographer Karen Hollingsworth and her late husband John. The photographs will be on public display at the Geraldine D. Humphrey Cultural Center , 1710 Sam Houston Avenue , Liberty , Texas until June 30, 2004 .
Hollingsworths wide-ranging images appear regularly in national magazines, books, interpretive displays, and numerous other publications. Her most recent projects include the photography for two books, The Smithsonian Book of National Wildlife Refuges and Americas National Wildlife Refuges: a Complete Guide. The husband and wife team gained national recognition for their photographic and conservation endeavors. Their artistic images have graced the pages of national magazines such as National Geographic, Audubon, Field and Stream, National Wildlife, Ducks Unlimited, and Birders World . "
"Reserving this exhibit was a real coupe for the Friends of Trinity River Refuge," said Stuart Marcus, Refuge Manager. The exhibit was arranged in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge.
Hollingsworth will travel to Liberty from her home in Minnesota to set up the exhibit. While here she plans to photograph Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge.
