Facility Activities

Wolf Island NWR is only accessible by boat, and visitors must provide their own transportation. The navigable waterways throughout the refuge are open to recreational activities such as fishing, crabbing, and boating. All refuge uplands, including the beach and marshes, are closed to the public to provide sanctuary to shorebirds. Wildlife obersvation and photography are possible from boats.

Saltwater fishing is permitted year-round in the estuarine waters adjacent to the refuge. All beach, marsh, and upland areas are closed to the public.
