Woman dressed warmly in camouflage and standing in marsh reeds aims a shotgun into the air

Seatuck National Wildlife Refuge – part of the Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex – opens 100 acres to white-tailed deer hunting November through January, and otherwise is closed to the public. All hunters are required to complete an online archery hunting application with an application fee. Applications are available early August through early September and are due annually in mid-September. There is no shotgun hunting opportunity at the refuge. Archery permits are issued for alternating one-week sessions, starting in November. See the application materials for more information.
