White-tailed Deer and Spring Turkey hunting are only allowed via permit with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation's Controlled Hunting Program. Hunters must apply directly with the state in the spring and will be provided with more information with a required refuge specific orientation before. The Public Hunting Area is located north of State Highway 11. Only hunting of pheasant, quail, dove, ducks, geese, and Sandhill Cranes are permitted in the Public Hunting Area following state regulations.
