Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge will be piloting a new elk hunting opportunity as part of the Department of the Interior’s expansion of hunting and fishing opportunities.

• Elk archery hunting by permit only: September 17–28 (no hunting Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
• Elk rifle and archery hunting by permit only: October 1–December 14 (no hunting Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
