Pond Creek NWR is composed of approximately 27,000 acres of bottomland hardwood habitat that is prime for wildlife. Access is provided by public roads, ATV/UTV trails, and water. Primitive camping is allowed. Many of the backwater sloughs and lakes provide waterfowl hunting opportunities. Hunters may pursue big game, small game, and waterfowl. Hunters with disabilities may apply for a special modern gun deer hunt. Hunters with disabilities may also apply for additional access with a special use permit. Visitors should contact the refuge or visit the website before their visit for the most up-to-date information and regulations.

All applicants are subject to a $5.00 non-refundable application fee for quota hunts. Successful applicants will be charged an additional $15.00 per permit fee.
