We support the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge in its efforts to protect, preserve, and restore its diverse, nature, and historic resources in a manner which will enhance the educational and recreational aspects for the public.

Since 1970, Earth Day has served to raise environmental awareness and involve citizens and communities in creating a cleaner, healthier world. Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge in Alabama, we worked with partners to restore the natural habitat around a river once mined by coal companies.

Coal mining left a legacy of habitat destruction and polluted waters. The refuge must be cleaned up before it welcomes legions of outdoor enthusiasts. Today, 20 years after the refuge was created, it has the money, partners, and drive to do just that.

Partner Category

We often partner with non-governmental conservation organizations on conservation projects, whether it's to conserve identified species such as the monarch butterfly or to advise on land acquisition for conservation so that it has the greatest benefit for species.

Those who experience the outdoors and wildlife first-hand become its greatest conservationists.  We partner with these groups to foster their love of wildlife and conservation.
