The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is pleased to permit recreational fishing along Fishing Creek, at the Lamar National Fish Hatchery and Northeast Fishery Center in Lamar, Pennsylvania. Primary angling opportunities in the creek are brook, brown and rainbow trout. Recreational fishing in Fishing Creek is conducted according to the laws and regulations established and published by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, with the following hatchery-specific exception. Access to the creek from hatchery and center property is permitted only from legal sunrise until legal sunset. Anglers can use existing access points, parking lots and trails to access Fish Creek. The creek also may be accessed by foot along the east edge of the property, with vehicle parking in an visitors parking lot north of the administrative center.
