Huron National Wildlife Refuge Environmental Assessment Cultural Resources Management Plan April 2021

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) is proposing to manage cultural resources on Lighthouse (West Huron) Island associated with the Huron National Wildlife Refuge (refuge) in accordance with the refuge’s Comprehensive Conservation Plan (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service 2013) and Cultural Resources Management Plan (Appendix B). For the purposes of the Cultural Resources Management Plan, cultural resources include historic structures and archeological resources. Other definitions of cultural resources can include natural resources; however, natural resource management is not included within the scope of this environmental assessment or the Cultural Resources Management Plan.
