November: Story Book Trail at the Fort River Birding and Nature Trail
The story book trail features the The Algonquian People of the Connecticut River Watershed, specifically Norwottuck.
This story book features Keme and Sokanon, a bother and sister from the Norwottuck Tribe. The book was designed by Student Conservation Association Intern, Zintkala Eiring. The Algonquian language, places, and activities were researched thoroughly to be as culturally relevant, and historically accurate as possible.
The trail is fully accessible to all abilities. If you have any questions please call: 413-658-5403 or email: Tasha_Daniels@fws.gov.
