Join the Friends of the Willamette Valley National Wildlife Refuge Complex on Sunday, September 28th, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at the Rich Guadagno Trailhead of Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge. Trail head parking area is located just off Coville Road in the middle of the Refuge.
Hear the story of stream, wetland, and oak forest restoration at Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge. Discover the processes and results of active land management that has attracted the support and attention of biologists and land managers from around the country. The presentation will be led by Refuge Manager, Graham Evans-Peters.
About the presenter: Graham Evans-Peters has been part of the Willamette Valley National Wildlife Refuge Complex since 2013. He began work as a biologist in the Partner’s Program. Since 2015 he has been the Refuge Manager at the Ankeny, and Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuges for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. As Refuge Manager he leads restoration and land management at the Refuge.
This event will take place outdoors so dress accordingly. Bring your binoculars! Extra binoculars will be available as well!
