History Walk

Come on a 90-minute walk with volunteer Todd Owsley to learn about the history of the Nisqually River Delta, starting from the time of the Nisqually People.  Todd will take you through history to the present date, covering European and American exploration and settlement, the Medicine Creek Treaty and Puget Sound Native American War, the innovative Brown Farm, the Fish Wars and Native American treaty rights, and the development of the current wildlife refuge.
