Have you ever wondered what the refuge looks like in the evening? Join an all-ages Evening Hike to see the refuge in a different light. We will learn about frogs and their calls and then take a short hike around vernal pool areas to listen and find frogs and toads.
This is a special event that will require registration. All rules and regulations of the refuge are expected to be followed. Participants will arrive at the gate to be signed into the refuge, and then drive to the Environmental Education Classroom to meet with the group. Please arrive about ten minutes early to be checked into the refuge.

7:20PM - Suggested arrival time to be checked into the refuge
7:30PM to 8:00PM – Intro and Frog Presentation
8:01PM – Sunset starts and our walk begins!
Some helpful things to bring:
- A flashlight or headlamp (preferably red light)
- Closed Shoes
- Long Pants
- Raincoat
- Comfortable light Clothing
- Snack & Water
