Duck Stamp Contest Panel Discussion

The 2023 Contest will be held in Des Moines, Iowa on September 15 & 16, 2023 

As a complementary event to the contest, join us for an afternoon of art, conservation, and appreciation for our natural heritage.  Learn more about the significance of the Duck Stamp Program, the importance of wildlife conservation, the artistry behind stamp designs, and the get valuable insights into the intersection of art and history.   

The Federal Duck Stamp is one of the most successful conservation programs in our nation’s history. Duck Stamps are vital tools for wetland conservation. The artwork for this unique stamp is chosen each year in a federally regulated art contest.  Since its inception in 1934, sales of the Duck Stamp have generated over $1.2 billion which has been used to conserve over 6 million acres of wetland habitat for birds and other wildlife.
