Bat-tastic Community Science Event

This citizen scientist program allows you to locate and identify bat species that are audible by our ears!  Camp at any of the campgrounds at or near Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge and join special guest speaker, Sara Rose, from Oregon's State University's Northwest Bat Hub.  The program begins at 7:30pm- 10:00pm the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge Visitor Center located at 38782 Hart Mountain Road, Plush, Oregon 97637. Come learn about bats and what you can do to help them, including participation for Refuge bat survey that night!  Driving from the visitor center may be necessary to get to some bat survey locations.  Warm clothing, good closed toe/heal shoes, bug spray, and flashlights are highly recommended.  If you have any other question, please contact the Refuge's Visitor Services Manager, Jamie_Bertram@fws.gov, for more details.
