2024 Pollinator BioBlitz Seney National Wildlife Refuge Field Event

In celebration of National Pollinator Week (June 17 - 23) the Seney National Wildlife Refuge is hosting a pollinator BioBlitz during the month of June. We will host a field day where you can go out with a park ranger and gather photos to input into the iNaturalist Pollinator BioBlitz. Practice your macro photography skills and help us by submitting photos of insects, spiders, and birds visiting flowers on the refuge! This event is targeted to people with an interest in macro photography and the iNaturalist citizen science app. Field Event - 2024 Pollinator BioBlitz Seney National Wildlife Refuge June 22 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Meet at the Temporary Visitor Center. 7:30 a.m. The visitor center will open. 8:00 a.m. Gather and cover where we are going and the goals for the day. 8:15 a.m. Break into groups and go out on the refuge to make observations. 11:00 a.m. Meet back at the Temporary Visitor Center and thank everyone. 11:15 a.m. Lunch 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. A ranger will be on site to help people load their observations into iNaturalist if you need the help. Refuge staff will help identify observations after the event is complete.
