Current users of ArcMap and new users to ArcGIS Pro.
Summary and Objectives:
This 4 hour on-line FWS instructor lead/hosted course utilizes four short exercises which will guide existing ArcMap users through the fundamentals of migrating to ArcGIS Pro. Using a format similar to classroom instruction, students will attend virtually using a live WebEx account with instructors leading students through a series of demonstrations and exercises. Students will work through the exercise on their own with the instructor(s) available for questions and live WebEx demonstrations when requested. Each individual exercise will take 20-30 minutes to complete. When finished, instructors will review the exercise, solicit questions, and then move onto the next exercise in the series.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the capabilities and functionality of ArcGIS Pro.
- Transition from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro.
- Define and create an ArcGIS Project (.aprx).
- Create a Map.
- Add data to an existing project.
- Edit and symbolize layers.
Students should have a good internet connection and the latest version of ArcGIS Pro installed prior to attending. The minimum computer requirements for using ArcGIS Pro are: http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/get-started/arcgis-pro-system-requirem…
