Temporary Refuge Closure at Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge

Temporary Refuge Closure at Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge
The north half of Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge near Dallas, Oregon, will be closed Wednesday, May 18 through Friday, May 20. Portions of the Baskett Butte InterTie Trail, Moffitti Marsh Trail and the North Butte are all included in the closed area. Closed areas will be posted and notices will be displayed at trailheads.

This closure is to ensure public safety as Refuge workers conduct oak restoration work on the North Butte.

Visitors may still access the main Baskett Butte Trail and Rich Guadagno Memorial Trail during this time, as well as the remaining public areas on the southern half of the Refuge. All Polk County roads will remain open to public traffic.
