Earth Day Clean-up at McNary National Wildlife Refuge

Earth Day Clean-up at McNary National Wildlife Refuge

Grab your gloves, bring a friend, and make a difference while greening up the McNary National Wildlife Refuge. Join us for Second Saturday on Saturday, April 9, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon to clean up the Refuge. We will concentrate our efforts on both land and water. Crews will clean up in the area around the Environmental Education Center, the hunt blinds, and on Casey Pond and the beaches along the Peninsula Unit.

Dress for the weather. Bring gloves, sturdy shoes, drink, and food. For those that want to clean up on land, meet at the McNary Education Center at 9:00 am. Those that want to clean up the waters, shorelines and water-accessed beaches, bring your kayak or canoe and meet at Casey Pond at 9:00 am. All water participants must wear a properly fitting PFD.

The McNary National Wildlife Refuge is located at 311 Lake Road in Burbank, WA. From the Tri-Cities, go east on I-182 and US Highway 12 to Burbank. At the Humorist Road traffic light, turn left.
