Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge to Celebrate its 37th !
As the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service prepares to celebrate the centennial of the National Wildlife Refuge System on March 14, 2003, Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge invites the public to enjoy a southwest piece of the 540 refuges system.
On Saturday August 24th 2002 Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge will be celebrating its 37th birthday. However, unlike most birthday parties, it will be the visitors at this celebration with a treat in store.
"Events like this allow the Service to highlight outstanding projects like our National Wildlife Refuge System," said H. Dale Hall, Regional Director for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
