Carson Wandering Skipper Receives Emergency Protection

The Carson wandering skipper, a small, tawny-orange butterfly found in only two counties in northwestern Nevada and northeastern California, was granted immediate Endangered Species Act protection under an emergency rule published today by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
