Patricia Martinkovic, manager of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services Long National Wildlife Refuge Complex, received the John S. Gottschalk Partnership Award for 1999.
"I am pleased to announce Patricias selection for the Gottschalk award," said Dr. Mamie A. Parker, acting regional director for the Northeast Region. "Her efforts to establish and grow partnerships involving the Long complex are exemplary."
According to Parker, the Gottschalk award is presented annually to a Northeast Region Service employee for creating and maintaining partnerships -- a major tool the Service uses to fulfill its mission -- or for developing the Services human resources.
