About Jackie Bridegum

Jackie was hired as a Fish Biologist in August 2023 to work with the AFWO’s FAC habitat restoration program.  Starting in 2016, she spent two and half years working on salmonid life cycle monitoring and habitat data collection in coastal streams in Mendocino County. In 2018, she was hired as a fisheries technician at AFWO. She worked there for two years before returning to school for her master’s education at Cal Poly Humboldt.  Her master’s thesis focused on correlating environmental DNA concentrations and fish abundance; and on an eDNA hydrologic transport model simulation in the upper Sacramento River system.  She is excited to apply her prior experience with habitat and hydrologic modeling to working for the habitat program of AFWO.
