About Araceli Morales Santos

I am the species lead for the Minnesota dwarf trout lily and the Northern bog lemming as well as the national recovery lead for the Dakota skipper. I also focus on ESA Section 7 Section 7
Section 7 Consultation The Endangered Species Act (ESA) directs all Federal agencies to work to conserve endangered and threatened species and to use their authorities to further the purposes of the Act. Section 7 of the Act, called "Interagency Cooperation," is the mechanism by which Federal agencies ensure the actions they take, including those they fund or authorize, do not jeopardize the existence of any listed species.

Learn more about Section 7
Consultations for the USDA Forest Service (USFS) and the DOI National Park Service (NPS). Before joining the Service, I participated in diverse and inclusive internship programs with the USFWS and the USFS where I gained a deeper appreciation for the important work federal land management agencies perform every day. I really enjoy helping others and creating outdoor connections for our public audience.
