Trails
The refuge has close to 11 1/2 miles of foot access trails, with varying difficulty from which wildlife can be viewed. There are also three wildlife observation blinds and one wildlife overlook. Pleasant Plains Road is a good place to view wildlife from your vehicle.
Please note that there will be maintenance on one of the boardwalks at the Wildlife Observation Center (WOC) in 2024 that will result in the temporary closure of sections of the boardwalk. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we make these modifications to improve the visitor experience.
