Ways to get involved

Explore the Highlands

Enjoy the outdoors by visiting properties throughout the Highlands region that have been protected in perpetuity to conserve land for humans and wildlife. Several of these properties are adjacent to or part of larger land parcels that were previously preserved.

Many of the properties that have been protected with the assistance of the Highlands Conservation Act grant program offer public access for passive recreational use such as hiking, bird watching, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, dog walking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, wildlife watching or meditation. Please check that certain activities are available at each location before planning your trip.
