The mission of the Friends of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge Complex is "To promote the conservation and welfare of the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge Complex for all dependent species and to enrich the lives of citizens through education and experience."

They are dedicated to restoring and protecting refuge habitats as well as providing wildlife education and recreation. The Friends of Tualatin River NWRC work closely with the refuge to assist and promote the refuge mission and goals.
