Ways to Get Involved
The Texas Coastal Ecological Services Field Office frequently partners with individual citizens, schools, local community, public and private organizations, and State and other federal agencies. Volunteers and college students have assisted in research studies and conservation efforts. Our partnerships with private landowners are vital to conserve and protect our federal trust resources. Our field office takes advantage of programs that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service offers through our volunteer program, Directorate Fellowship Program, Pathways Program, and more. Our field office values working with volunteers and partners interested in the conservation, management, and restoration of fish and wildlife resources.
Our Partners
The Texas Coastal Ecological Services Field Office is open to working with volunteers who have an interest in the conservation and protection of threatened and endangered and/or other important fish and wildlife species and their habitats. Enduring partnerships with private landowners are vital to conserve these habitats in a state where more than 98% of land is in private ownership. Existing partnerships are wide-ranging, and extremely diverse.

Education Programs
While the Texas Coastal Ecological Services Field office does not currently offer any youth programs, staff often volunteer their time with our partners to participate in student science fairs, youth inner city fishing events, and school presentations.
