About Jesse Rivera

Jesse has been with the CRFWCO since 2003, where he now oversees and supervises the Marking and Tagging program. Jesse coordinates with hatchery managers, Mid-Columbia FWCO, Western Washington FWCO, Dworshak NFH Complex, Columbia River Gorge NFH Complex, Tribes and State agencies to develop, schedule, and implement marking and tagging projects and implement adult return biosampling and tag recovery at Columbia River Gorge NFH complex hatcheries. He works with the Hatchery Evaluation Teams to design and implement hatchery marking/tagging evaluations and is a member of the Production Advisory Committee.

Current Projects:

1. Supervising the Marking and Tagging program

2. Coordinating with Mid-Columbia FWCO, Western Washington FWCO, Dworshak NFH Complex, Columbia River Gorge NFH Complex, Tribes and State agencies to develop, schedule and implement marking and tagging projects

3. Coordinating tag recovery and biosample collection from adult returns at the Columbia River Gorge NFH complex hatcheries

4. Collaborating with Hatchery Evaluation Teams to design and implement hatchery marking/tagging evaluations

5. Providing technical expertise as a member of the Production Advisory Committee
