Winter-run Chinook salmon study sites on Battle Creek

Document - image/jpeg

This map shows salmon-release sites, natural and human-made barriers, and locations of acoustic and radio receivers on Battle Creek associated with Service efforts to support endangered Sacramento River winter-run Chinook salmon and establish a second population outside of the Sacramento River. Since 2018 the Service has released hatchery-produced winter-run juvenile Chinook salmon into Battle Creek and monitored adult returns through a collaboration of the Red Bluff Fish and Wildlife Office and Coleman National Fish Hatchery.
