Northwestern Hawaiian Islands (Papahānaumokuākea): Approximately, 1,050 acres of federal and state lands are proposed as critical habitat for nesting and basking honu on the islands and atolls of Hōlanikū (Kure Atoll), Kuaihelani (Midway Atoll), Manawai (Pearl and Hermes Atoll), Kapou (Lisianski Island), Kamole (Laysan Island), Lalo (French Frigate Shoals).
