Neches River National Wildlife Refuge Draft Interim Habitat and Species Plan for Forested Habitats

This interim Habitat and Species Plan establishes the detailed objectives and strategies related to the conservation of priority habitats and priority species that Neches River National Wildlife Refuge will implement to make progress toward achieving the vision and goals found in its Biological Priorities. The HSP provides a strategic focus for conservation efforts to fulfill the Neches River National Wildlife Refuge purposes and to contribute to the Refuge System’s mission and goals, including maintaining the Biological Integrity, Diversity, and Environmental Health of the refuge and the National Wildlife Refuge System. This HSP identifies actions to correct or mitigate significant threats or problems that may adversely affect the populations and habitats of fish, wildlife, and plants to achieve long-term refuge vision and goals.
