Agency Docket No. FWS-R1-ES-2022-0068

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement to evaluate the impacts of issuing an Incidental Take Permit for the Kauaʻi Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC) Habitat Conservation Plan. The State of Hawai’i Department of Land and Natural Resources is simultaneously publishing an Environmental Impact Statement Preparation Notice (EISPN) under the Hawaiʻi Environmental Policy Act in response to an application from KIUC for an Incidental Take License. To align the timing of our publications and minimize confusion for the public, we request our Notice of Intent be placed on public inspection on June 7, 2022, and published on June 8, 2022.
