The Fish and Wildlife Service partners with Tribes in the Pacific Region to assist with species monitoring and habitat conservation. Here, they tag an elk with a GPS collar to track migration patterns. The USFWS has a long history of working with Native American governments in the management of fish and wildlife resources. Working together with indigenous cultures allows us to learn about the methods historically used by Tribes in the management of fish, wildlife and their habitats.
