Wildlife Beach Cleanup

Join staff, Friends, and volunteers of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and Magee Marsh Wildlife Area for a Beach Cleanup on Saturday, April 13th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Wildlife Beach. Volunteers will meet at end of the Magee Marsh causeway in the gravel parking lot. We will walk the beach, picking up any trash we encounter along the way. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Supplies such as gloves, bags, and trash pickers will be provided. Afterwards, we will celebrate the upcoming Volunteer Recognition Day early by enjoying a pizza lunch generously provided by Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and Friends of Magee Marsh Wildlife Area.

Call (419) 313-3236 for more information and to register. Space is limited.

This event is part of our recurring monthly cleanups, usually scheduled on the second Saturday of every month. Keep an eye out for future volunteer events to help us keep plastic waste and other litter off of our beaches and out of our waterways and local communities!
