Walk for the Wild with Friends of the Bill Williams River and Havasu National Wildlife Refuges

Join the Friends of Bill Williams River and Havasu National Wildlife Refuges for a guided walk, a scavenger hunt, nature photography, kayaking, and paddle boarding by the Bill Williams River Refuge educational building. kayaks and paddleboards will be available for the public free of cost. To reserve a paddleboard or kayak email: j.f.mamafish@gmail.com in advance. Other ways to participate include: Visit the Visitor Center during the week of October 14-18 and pick up a map of the courses. Make sure to register for a Bill Williams River Refuge walk, we will put your name on a raffle drawing. Join the City of Phoenix, Rio Reimagined, Audubon Southwest, Corazon Latino, and the USFWS on October 19 at the 7th Avenue Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area Trailhead anytime between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm for a self-guided Walk for the Wild along the Salt River, or come for a guided nature photography walk at 8:30 a.m.! If you do either, you can enter your name for an hourly drawing!
