Reno, Nevada — On April 16, 2025, The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hosted a public hearing, as requested by Humbolt County, Nevada, on its proposal to list the bleached sandhill skipper as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. Additionally, the Service had reopened its public comment period from March 19 to May 19, in order to allow interested parties additional time to submit comments on the proposal.
