Storytime at the refuge, sounds super fun! We have partnered together with the Shirley M. Wright Memorial Library to join the "Color Our World" Summer Library Programs. "Color Our World" Summer Library Program in Wisconsin is a collaborative effort coordinated by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP). This program encourages reading and artistic expression through various activities and reading challenges for all ages. Join us as we read, ‘The Lodge That Beaver Built’ by Randi Sonenshine, illustrated by Anne Hunter. We will be incorporating music and movement and will also have an activity for participants to learn about beaver adaptations. Participants will have the opportunity of touching a beaver pelt and seeing a beaver skull. After the story, we will all head out in a short hike to see a beaver lodge.
*Program will start at the Outdoors Wonder Learning Center.
