Want to know more about the Red-headed Woodpecker? Join the Friends of Trempealeau Refuge and Richie Swanson, volunteer for the Red-headed Woodpecker Recovery Program, for his presentation as he shares his findings of nest cavities at the refuge. Richie will talk about the 35 nest cavities he has monitored at the Refuge from 2019-2024. Following the program, Richie will lead a short hike to look for Red-headed Woodpeckers and their historic breeding sites.
