Othello Sandhill Crane Festival

Get ready for the 2024 Othello Sandhill Crane Festival—Wingtip to Wingtip: A Flourish of Feathers!

In the second year back from COVID, the Festival is also at full strength. All the old favorite tours, lectures,  and activities are back.

The Washington State University Raptor Club will be there with . . . well, it's always a surprise as to what they'll bring, but it's sure to be cute, and fearsome and fascinating.

Think geology is boring? If you've ever been to the Festival, you know that's not true, and Dr. Zentner will be back, as well as Bruce Bjornstad, the good folks from the Ice Age Floods National Trail, and the other dirt diggers from the Coyote Canyon Mammoth Site.

Of course, all your favorite bird people will be back—Randy Hill, Mike & MerryLynn Denny, Jason Fidorra, Heidi Newsome, Dr. Gary Ivey,  and whoever else we can pry away from their next "Big Year."

And of course, we'll be there. Afterall, it wouldn't be a party without us boring you into a coma about our favorite subjects—Sandhill cranes and Columbia National Wildlife Refuge.

So, keep checking back here or on the Festival web site for more details and the opening of registration; tours and events go fast!
