This orientation will include a short presentation on bird collisions with glass, removal of the old window film, a demonstration of the installation of Feather Friendly bird collision deterrent markers "dots," and an opportunity for people to practice installation on the windows. This program is part of a series of volunteer opportunities to make the Visitor Center safer for birds and reduce collisions with windows! The recommended orientation will include a short presentation on bird collisions and a practice installation of bird collision deterrent markers "dots". Pizza provided at orientation.
On installation days, volunteers will install bird collision deterrent dots on the Visitor Center windows. Snacks and water provided, but please pack a lunch. The installation days will be 4/11, 4/12, 4/19 from 10 am - 3 pm.
