New England Butterflies: Celebrating Nature - Talks by Bill Gette

Starting in early March, Mourning Cloak Butterflies begin emerging from hibernation and start flying along forest lanes and woodland edges. By late March, tiny Spring Azures appear. Cabbage Whites and Black Swallowtails start flying over fields and visiting gardens by mid-April. Throughout the summer, many more species appear.

During his PowerPoint presentation, Bill Gette will show his colorful photographs of 40 species of New England butterflies and discuss their life histories, flight months, and host plants.
