National Wildlife Refuge Week Special Events

Join refuge rangers on Saturday, October 14th in celebration of the National Wildlife Refuges Week with the following events!

9am Wetland Walk, join your refuge rangers and explore the wetlands  to learn about the importance of wetland management for migratory waterfowl.

11am Milkweed Seed Bomb Crafting, join refuge rangers in creating seed bombs from common milkweed seeds to plant for the monarch butterfly.  Participants can take home their own seed "bomb" to help promote pollinator habitat on their own property.

1pm Bertrand Talk, join the museum curator and learn about the Steamboat Bertrand and some of its artifacts.
