Live from the Eagle's Nest

This grove of sycamore trees is a favorite roost for the NCTC bald eagle pair. From this perch, they have a good view of their nest, the Potomac River, and surrounding habitat. Since the Feb. 19 return of the resident female, mating and nest preparation continues. Though egg-laying has been delayed due to territorial conflicts we are still hoping to see eggs coming soon.

Join us online on March 10 at 1 pm ET for the next “Live from the Eagle’s Nest” broadcast. We'll give an overview of bald eagle nesting behaviors, catch up on the latest nest action and answer your eagle questions too. Please join us!
