Light and Seek Luminary Walk

Enjoy a family-friendly and peaceful night out that includes crafts and activities indoors and a full moon luminary hike on the trails! Please leave dogs at home.

Our friends from Bugs Below Zero will be there to provide an interactive insect demonstration for adults, kids, students and families that connects weather, streams, aquatic insects and fish.

Activity Level: Easy-active, self-led.

What to Bring: This event has activities indoors and outdoors. Weather appropriate dress is encouraged.

Accessibility: This program will take place inside and outside the Rapids Lake Education & Visitor Center. The route from the parking lot to the classrooms is an accessible route via asphalt and concrete with minimal slope. The luminary trail is both on a paved trail and a forest trail, with the paved trail being accessible with a slight slope. Flush restrooms and water fountains are available inside the visitor center.

Program Leader: This program is coordinated and led by Funky Minds, with support by refuge staff.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is committed to providing access to these events for all participants.
