Latino Outdoors-Portland and the Fish and Wildlife Service invite you to #OptOutside this Black Friday on a Nature Walk!
Organizers: Ricardo Escobar (Latino Outdoors Portland) and Lily Calderón (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service)
Meeting location: Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center (19255 SW Pacific Hwy, Sherwood, OR 97140)
Time: We will meet outside the visitor center at 10:00 AM. We will begin shortly after. We expect to complete the walk no later than 12:00 PM.
Parking: Entrance and parking at Tualatin River is FREE and plentiful. Nonetheless, if you can carpool, better for the environment.
Walk details: The walk is an easy-moderate 1 mile each way (out-and-back) walk with short sections of steeper grades. The trail is made up of compacted gravel and occasionally switches to natural material or loose gravel. Walk is capped at 15 participants to ensure an engaging event. We will have binoculars for anyone who would like to borrow a pair. We will provide sack lunches after the walk.
