It’s almost time for Kids Ice Fishing Day at Genoa! It is getting very cold outside so please dress for the weather.
Join us on Saturday, February 7, 2026 for our Kids Ice Fishing Day Event at Genoa National Fish Hatchery from 8:45am - 12:00pm.
Registration: 8:45am - 9:00am
Ice Safety & Fishing Tips: 9:00am – 9:15am (inside Lake Sturgeon Building)
Opening Fishing for Kids: 9:15am – 12:00pm
*Bait & Poles are provided
Pay special attention to keeping your hands, feet and head warm. Even ice fishing won’t be fun if you are cold! The Great River Road Interpretive Center and gift shop will be open during the event. Snowshoeing is available as well! Hope to see you there!
