About the presenter: Stephanie Hazen is a retired veterinarian who lives near Salem. She owned and operated a small animal/exotic animal veterinary practice in Salem from 1985-2013.
In retirement she took up photography and became a Master Gardener and a Master Melittologist through Oregon State University (OSU). She is passionate about nature and conservation. This year (2025) the OSU Extension Master Gardener program recognized Stephanie with a statewide ‘Behind the Scenes’ award for creating hands-on displays, leading educational events, and sharing resources across Oregon.
Meet inside Gehlar Hall of the Ankeny Hill Nature Center. Parking is available at the top and bottom parking lots and Peregrine Marsh parking lot off Buena Vista Road.
